notsopretty takes the plunge! Between the swimming pool, a lawn for sunbathing and outdoor-pool fries, an open-air audio walk about summer, longing, and social inequality emerges. The pool becomes a stage for conflict: luxury meets scarcity, isolation meets community, and abundance meets depletion. A mix of humor, pop, and chlorine-soaked indictment, The Rise & Fall of the Swimming Pool combines nostalgic childhood memories with fantasies of having a pool of one’s own–asking who can afford relaxation, and who is left high and dry.
Wearing headphones, we will set off on a walk through the outdoor pool area. Please wear suitable shoes & clothing, keep in mind that the event also takes place in case of rain! Still: You can leave your swimwear at home.
